On April 15, the renowned manufacturing company will formally celebrate its 100th birthday, commemorating a century of customer-focused innovation and reinvention that leads the industry.
In 1925, the Holt Manufacturing Company and the C.L. Best Tractor Co. amalgamated to establish the Caterpillar Tractor Co. From the first track-type tractor the company created to pull combine harvesters in Northern California to the self-sufficient mining and construction machinery and engines that run the modern world, Caterpillar’s goods and services have assisted its clients in finishing infrastructure projects that have influenced the contemporary world.

There were festivities in Peoria, Illinois, and Sanford, North Carolina. As Caterpillar embarks on its voyage into the next century, the families of the firm’s founders, C.L. Best and Benjamin Holt, will join company executives and staff at the company’s global headquarters in Irving, Texas, to commemorate the first century of innovation.
In order to give staff and guests an engaging and immersive experience, the Centennial World Tour set out to tour Caterpillar facilities across the globe. Additionally, the business is celebrating the milestone by offering limited-edition ‘Centennial Grey’ painted motorcycles for sale in 2025.
