The 510 P-Tier excavator is equipped with a lesser engine, yet it maintains the same horsepower and performance as the previous model.
The John Deere 510 P-Tier excavator model will supplant the 470 P-Tier, and it will feature improvements to fuel efficiency, performance, and various levels of grade management technology. The 510 P-Tier, which is based on the previous model, offers minimal operating costs and optional SmartGrade Grade Control technology to optimise productivity.
Features of the 510 P-Tier excavator
The 510 P-Tier, which is equipped with a 9.0L John Deere Power Systems engine, produces the same net horsepower and responsive performance as the 470 P-Tier’s larger 13.5L engine. However, gasoline consumption may be reduced, contingent upon the application and operating speed. A new electronic, on-demand cooling system that replaces traditional hydraulic fans is partially responsible for this efficiency gain, which in turn reduces the engine burden. The cooling package includes ten electric fans (E-Fans) that optimise airflow while ensuring appropriate cooling performance.
The 510 P-Tier is intended to decrease the total cost of ownership by 10 percent and 16 percent over the course of the machine’s complete lifecycle, respectively, in comparison to the 470 P-Tier.
The new 510 P-Tier, which is a continuation of John Deere’s dedication to intelligent solutions, provides the same grade management technology options as the 470 P-Tier. Operators can expedite the process of reaching grade and accumulate a greater number of points on grade, thereby reducing the need for costly revisions and additional job site inputs that result from overexcavation. Buyers have the option of selecting from 2D Grade Guidance, 2D SmartGrade Ready Control, or a full 3D SmartGrade. Furthermore, the primary monitor of the computer is equipped with LED surround lighting, and the right, rear, and left camera systems are included.
“In order to provide operators with the exceptional performance they anticipate from a 51 metric tonne machine, we maintained the same net horsepower,” explains Justin Steger, product marketing manager at John Deere. “This machine provides the customer with supplementary value by reducing their operating and ownership expenses.”
