Multi Parts Solutions (MPS) has purchased HKX, Inc., a Monroe, Washington-based maker of auxiliary hydraulic kits and control systems for excavators and other heavy equipment.
MPS will enter the construction equipment sector and launch HKX as its third operating business, joining ACC Heavy Duty for commercial vehicles and MPS Automotive for the auto market.
MPS will expand into hydraulic installation-ready kits for excavators. HKX, Hydraulic Kits for Excavators, has spent over three decades developing an engineering-focused business centered on install-ready kits that enable excavators to run attachments such as breakers, thumbs, shears, and spinning tools.
Its machines have transitioned from pilot controls to electrohydraulic and CAN-based systems. HKX will continue to operate out of its Monroe, Washington plant, where in-house fabrication, CNC tube bending, kitting, and application engineering enable quick response to special orders. Burnett and the current leadership team will continue to oversee the division, and the HKX team remains critical to its development.
